Wilmingtons #1 Jet Ski rental

No prior experience is necessary. However we have physical requirements for your own safety. We provide a safety briefing and instructions before your ride.

Bring valid ID for all drivers, as well as a card for your deposits. Sunscreen, towels, and sunglasses are available for sale, or bring your own! We also recommend a dry change of clothes.

To rent a jet ski, you must be at least 18 years old; however, 16 and 17-year-olds can drive solo with valid I.D,  but will require a legal guardian to be present to rent the watercraft and sign liability forms. Children 14 & 15 are allowed to drive the watercraft only with an adult 18+ on board. Children under the age of 14 are allowed as passengers, but not allowed to drive. The minimum age for children to ride as passengers is 4 years old, and they must weigh at least 35 pounds.

All participants must be able to swim, no exceptions.

Weight limit is 400 lbs. total passenger weight per ski. The more weight you add, the more likely the watercraft will capsize and flip.

Participants should be physically strong enough and capable to climb back on the jet ski without assistance in the event they fall off. Yes, you will probably end up in the water at some point! This is comparable to climbing out of a pool without a ladder. If you have ANY doubt in this ability, please do not get on the jet skis.

Guest should consider their physical abilities, fitness level, and medical history before getting on the jet ski. Guest with previous, neck, back, leg injuries, cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, or other heart or respiratory issues should take particular caution when selecting this activity and consult a physician before participating. NEJSR LLC is NOT liable for any injuries you may incur while on our jet skis.

Yes, Reservations are required.

Reservations booked online will be charged the full amount when the reservation is made.

Each renter’s photo ID and credit card must match and will be verified upon check-in.

Bring a valid ID, sunscreen, and a towel. We provide life jackets and safety gear.

Damage Deposit is required for all rentals.

IF YOU ARE DRIVING A JET SKI, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN $250 DAMAGE DEPOSIT

WITHOUT A DEPOSIT, YOU CANNOT RENT A JET SKI. NO EXEPTION.

We require a $250 damage deposit for every jet ski rented. You may use credit or debit card, however cash is not accepted. Additional renters/drivers within your group will be required to provide their own damage deposit for the jet ski they will be operating. Spouses & children of renters may provide only 1 credit card, however siblings & friends may not “share” a credit card or cover deposits for other people.

The damaged deposit is 100% fully refundable as long as your jet ski is returned without damage. This is both for your safety, and the safety of our equipment. IF you have damage, the deposit will be applied to the total damage expense. You are responsible for the full cost of damage & repairs and it is due at the time damage has occurred. Damage cost can be up to replacement value of the watercraft at $10,000. We highly recommend adding accident protection to your rental to reduce your liability.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for all reservations. Reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours before rental time to receive a full refund. Reservations canceled within 24 hours prior to their rental time are charged 50% of their reservation. NO SHOWS will be charged the full amount, no refunds. The reason for our policy is that once we have held that spot for you, we are then turning away customers who could have filled your slot as we are usually sold out most days. We understand that life happens and things come up, and we will do our best to work with you. If you need to re-schedule or cancel, please call us ASAP. Don’t wait until your rental time to call and cancel or re-schedule!

If there is foul weather at the time of your rental, you will not be charged a cancellation fee and we can issue a full refund. IF it begins raining/lightning during your rental and you do not receive your whole time on the water, we will pro-rate it for how long you were out. WE DO NOT CANCEL RESERVATIONS BASED ON A WEATHER FORECAST. However, if it is forecasted that it will be a complete wash out (70% or more chance of rain) for the entire day, we may cancel all reservations for the day and we will be in contact with you as early in advance as possible.

Your group must check in 30 minutes early. Once you arrive we will begin the check-in process & safety instructions. This “prep time” is not included in your actual riding time, and you will still receive the full rented time on the water! Some folks prefer to arrive even earlier as to not feel rushed, but please note that actual instruction will not begin until 30 minutes prior to your reserved time.

Remember, your reservation time is when your time on the water begins. Be early. We understand things happen and we will work with you the best way possible. Arriving late will likely cut into your actual riding time. We are very busy most days and cannot inconvenience other customers because of your tardiness!

FAST! Our skis are capable of speeds up to 55 mph depending on rider(s) weight and water conditions. We only operate NEW MODEL YAMAHA VXs. The engine is a High Output TR1 3 Cylinder 4-stroke engine with 120 HP (not available on older models). Our jet skis do NOT have speed limiting governors as some of the “other guys” in the area. We guarantee our skis are the nicest & fastest jet skis available to rent in Wilmington, North Carolina.

All of our jet skis can accommodate 3 riders and have a weight limit of 400 lbs HOWEVER we recommend you do not push the limit. The more riders & weight, the more you will tip! For the most comfortable experience, we recommend 1 adult rider per ski. No more than 2 adult riders per ski, or 2 small adults and 1 small child. Each ski rented is for that rider, or couple. No switching or sharing with other parties allowed.

Rental Rate is Per Jet Ski

Absolutely! We make sure you are confident in riding, understanding the area, and safely operating the ski before sending you out. We explain every aspect of operation and safety and answer any and all questions you may have. IMPORTANT NOTE: if it is observed by a staff member that anyone in your party is either 1) not paying clear attention to safety information, 2) unable to understand safety information, or 3) purposefully ignoring safety protocol, their rental will be ended immediately without refund. The renter/operator is responsible for ALL damage caused while renting the watercraft OR that they caused to another jet ski while renting. In the event, you cause damage to another renters jet ski, you will be held responsible for damage to both jet skis.

DAMAGE FEES ARE DUE AT THE TIME DAMAGE OCCURS. DAMAGE FEES WILL BE KEPT FROM YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT. IF TOTAL DAMAGE COST EXCEEDS DEPOSIT AMOUNT, THE BALANCE IS DUE THE SAME DAY, AT THAT TIME. WE DO NOT BILL YOU LATER FOR DAMAGE.

The jet ski will be inspected before and after each use for damage. Damage fees/cost will be at the renter/operator’s expense, up to replacement value of the watercraft. If repair cost and lost time are excessive, over 50% value, the renter has the option to purchase jet ski at NADA value.

Reimbursement for lost rental time may occur if the damage is excessive enough to render the jet ski unrentable until repaired. This fee is $250 per day until the jet ski is repaired and available for rental.

Fiberglass chips, scratches, or cracks in paint — $100 per inch — occurs from negligent operation, ie. running into things or other watercraft. Minimum $250 charge for fiberglass damage.

Running aground fee $250 (will not happen if you follow our instructions)

Fiberglass Damage-$100 per inch

Down time-$250 per day until the ski is repaired

Water intrusion into the engine or sunken watercraft — up to $3,000 — occurs from flipping the jet ski over and not following provided instruction on correcting.

Damage to Impeller, Wear Ring, or Debris sucked into water intake — up to $500 — occurs from operating outside of designated riding area and getting too shallow & sucking sand/debris though jet pump.

Broken hatches, bumpers, seats, handles, throttles, or any physical part of jet ski — $100+ as quoted

We do offer accident protection options which will help avoid an extremely expensive repair bill if you were to have a bad accident. Please ask if you have any questions.

**** These are only examples. The renter is responsible for the total cost of any damage that occurs while jet ski is being operated, including other personal property, jet skis & or boats.

Each jet ski is equipped with a watch to ensure you return on-time. Late return is charged at $5/minute (we don’t want to be jerks, but again we cannot inconvenience others for your tardiness!).

Our easy to find private location is on the Intracoastal Waterway which means no “idle time” in no wake zones. Our watercraft are launched directly from our EZ DOCK platforms and the open water is your playground! Our EZ-DOCK platform installed for safe & easy boarding and docking the jet skis.

We are the only rental business in the area with a pier on the waterway offering a fantastic place to enjoy the scenic views as you can watch your family & friends enjoy the jet skis.

From Carolina Beach & Kure Beach
1-2 miles (about 2 minutes). Go across Snows Cut Bridge towards Wilmington, make first RIGHT at the FIRST stop light onto Seabreeze Rd. (You will see Pelican Snowballs on the corner), go to the end of Seabreeze Rd and you can’t miss us!

From Downtown Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach
10-12 miles (about 10-20 minutes). Head south on College Rd, which turns into Carolina Beach rd (HWY 421) south, turn Left onto Seabreeze Rd just before Snows Cut Bridge. You will see Pelican Snowballs on the corner. If you pass this turn, you will go over Snows cut bridge and need to U-Turn. Go to the end of Seabreeze Rd and you can’t miss us
